Hi I'm Sue from Cosima's, a small family run business based in the heart of Essex. I've loved sewing since a young age, as a child and teenager you could often find me sewing clothes and children's soft toys.
When my daughter was young I discovered laminated cotton, I wanted a cooking apron for her that was waterproof and wipeclean but could not find one small enough. For a while I made aprons, this then increased to bags and accessories for the family and home, and so the business grew.
Laminated cotton is a lovely fabric to work with, it gives bags stability without being ridgid, is showerproof, easily wiped clean and durable.
As we like to keep Cosima's within the family all my photographs are taken by my husband, who you can also find on our stand at many of the shows we are at during the year.
