The WINNERS of One of Two Pro-Grower Packs from Coir Products are
Chrissy Lee and Margaret Gallagher!

Coir is a natural fibre that is 100% biodegradable. It is extracted from the husk of the coconut, and is a fibrous material that is found between the hard-inner shell of the coconut and the outer coating of it. Coir is native to the Asia Pacific region, especially; India and Sri Lanka, where coconut is produced in large quantities and exported globally. In recent times, the global annual production of coir has been approximated at 650,000 tonnes.

India produces around 60% of the world’s supply of coir fibre, while Sri Lanka produces 36%. Recently, countries such as Mexico, Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Caribbean Islands have also started producing coir to the global market on a large scale.
