Planters can be pre-drilled for drainage if used outside, or un-drilled and fully water-tight for interior use.
Fibreglass itself is made from special plastic polymers a key ingredient of which is PET (Polyethylene terephthalate) which comes from recycled plastic which is then reinforced with randomly arranged glass fibres. (1800 plastic bottles are diverted from landfill for every 200 kilos used.) This produces a strong lightweight material whose bulk strength exceeds many metals with the advantage that it can be easily moulded into complex shapes. As such it is the perfect material for outdoor planters especially where weight is an issue. Their fibreglass planters are finished in a choice of RAL colours, popular choices include white planters, grey planters or black planters for a monochrome design.
