Since 1979, The Three Pits Allotment Society have evolved to become the premier site in the Middleton/Rochdale area; assisting other societies to form committees along the way including Valley Road Allotments in Middleton, having started from scratch themselves.
Over the last 4 decades, Three Pits Allotment Society have helped the local community with projects and iniatives for those locally who have autism and other mental health issues amongst other local support including the Spring Hill Hospice whereby the allotment society have brought colour and beauty to the patients for 20 years to help bring them some enjoyment and tranquility at the end of life. Their award-winning borders have brought a smile to many and they are only too pleased to contribute in this way.
Here's to this dedicated Allotment Committee for bringing so much to their local area for everybody to enjoy!
