Spiced Plums

A fruity start to the day that isn't jam!

As well as a refreshing change at breakfast time, this makes a wonderful dessert too!

You can top off with nuts, cream or Greek yoghurt - Or your own choice.

  • 8 Plums, halved and stoned
  • 1-2 Large oranges (for peel and for juice)
  • 1/2-1 teaspoon of Ground cinnamon
  • 200g Greek Yoghurt
  • 30g Flaked almonds (you could toast these too).

Please note that our recipes are an approximate guideline - Quantities along with ingredients are totally adaptable to suit personal taste, consistency and density as well as portion sizes.


1. Add the plums, orange zest and juice, cinnamon and some water to a pan and heat gently, stirring regularly.

2. Bring the mixture to a simmer, cover and keep on a low heat for approx 12 minutes or until the plums are soft but still in their halves shapes.

3. Serve with some Greek Yoghurt and a sprinkling of almonds (or topping of your choice).
