You can of course, use our recipes as a guide and tweak them to suit your own tastes. They are in the main, written by somebody who loves food and doesn't measure anything (Carrie) so we hope you enjoy our 'rustic' take on the selection of dishes here. A gorgeous Greek ghoulash type dish
Please note that our recipes are an approximate guideline - Quantities along with ingredients are totally adaptable to suit personal taste, consistency and density as well as portion sizes.
Rather than cooking on the hob, we recommend to put all of the ingredients (to taste) in a lidded casserole dish and cook in the centre of the oven on 150c slowly for 3-4 hours or until the meat is tender and the sauce is of the desired consistency -
Chop the vegetables to bite size and crush the garlic, tenderise the meat and mix all well with the herbs, spices and other ingredients; feel free to add carrots or other vegetables to use up!
Stir occasionally
Add water if required or some stock or cornflour to thicken.
Serve with rice or potatoes and veggies
