A tasty fluffy side as a healthier and hearty change from potato!
We've called this one 'root mash' because you can combine any of these filling vegetables to make a tasty alternative or addition to your roast, casserole or winter favourites. You may want to experiment with parsnips, celeriac and mix in some potato as well...
Please note that our recipes are an approximate guideline - Quantities along with ingredients are totally adaptable to suit personal taste, consistency and density as well as portion sizes.
1. Peel and dice your chosen root vegetables and boil in a pan of water to cook, ensuring they are soft enough to mash but not overcooked or soggy.
2. Drain away the water and add the other ingredients.
3. Mix well and mash until you have a smooth, well combined mixture
4. Serve with a garnish of herbs (if you wish).
